Readings and Resources: Staff

Overview

Summer B Session Pilot: Enhanced Readings & Resources list

Whilst still integrated with vUWS, lists will have a new improved look and feel and include extra functionality such as:

  • Better integration with the library search box, giving real-time book availability info directly on the list
  • Dynamic linking to ebook and journal content reducing the occurrence of out-dated links
  • Tools to increase student engagement by enabling students to evaluate materials or add comments to a reading list via discussion boards (will be turned on by request)
  • Academic staff can use ‘public notes’ and ‘tags’ to communicate information about specific resources at the point of need (will be turned on by request)

Please Note:

Reading lists will no longer reflect the 'correct' citation. Should students require further assistance, they must refer to the Referencing and Citation resource page.

How can you request a reading list?

The library will automatically process a reading list based on the Learning Guide, which involves the typical process of managing copyright, purchasing new materials and providing high-quality digitisation of scanned chapters and articles.  Once completed, the Library will contact the Unit Coordinators for final approval and to enable the link in the vUWS site.
