Parramatta South collection move

by The Library on 2025-02-12T10:18:00+11:00 | 0 Comments

In preparation for planned building works in 2025, the collection at Parramatta South Whitlam Library changed over the summer break. The majority of the collection has been temporarily relocated to level 4 of the Penrith John Philips Library.

While it has moved, it is still available for you to use. Search for items you need through the Library search box and request to borrow them (they will be delivered to the campus of your choice, including Parramatta South) or browse them in person at Penrith.

When building works are completed, the collection will be returned to Parramatta South.

Why did we move it so early? Moving collections and shelves takes a lot of time, noise and disruption. We wanted to minimise this for all library users during times when you are studying or undertaking research either at Parramatta, or at Penrith.

What's there instead?

We've changed the study spaces, creating a larger Quiet study area with 20 more seats, and made soft seating for your study sessions easier to find.

Feedback about the changes via our Online Librarian Contact Us service is welcomed.

We thank you for your support and understanding and look forward to welcoming you to the Library in 2025.
