Free events in Academic Integrity Week: 17-21 March

In Academic Integrity week, the Library is hosting free events to facilitate student discussion about originality and ethical study in the era of Generative AI.

We encourage you to take an active part in the conversations that will inform your academic and professional life.

Join an event on campus or online to ad your voice and listen to how staff and students are navigating these complexities and leading the way to ensure academic integrity at Western.

Free Academic Integrity Week events, 17th – 21st March:

TURNITIN AI DETECTOR ONLINE WEBINAR

Monday, 17 March, 12pm-1pm

When you submit your assignments at Western, your work will be checked by the Turnitin AI Detector. The AI detection tool can be a major stress point for students. What does that percentage score mean, and should you be worried?

What will you get out of it?

  • Understand how the Turnitin AI Detector works and its implications for your assignments.
  • Learn how to interpret the percentage score and determine when to be concerned.
  • Discover resources for further advice and support regarding academic integrity.
